Meet our Nurse Practitioner, Ashley Byrd. Ashley is an experienced mental health provider that is currently serving our patients with her diverse expertise. She has over 13 years’ experience in the field of psychiatry. Ashley is a graduate from the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. During her tenure at the university, she served as a research assistant in the Academic Center for Evidence-Based Practice exploring different treatment modalities and combating stress in the nursing population.
Previously she served as a community mental health provider serving those with severe and persistent mental illness and individuals with developmental disabilities. She has since transitioned into the inpatient sector serving individuals across the lifespan in mental health crisis.
She is proficient in the evaluation and pharmacological management of a variety of mental health conditions.
