Brooke Trahan, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Brooke Trahan is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a robust academic and professional background in both mental and physical health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
With extensive experience in psychiatric care, Brooke has worked at various hospitals around the Houston area, including her most recent role at Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. Her clinical expertise is complemented by her research interests, which focus on epigenetics, the impact of environmental stressors on the human body, and the interplay between dietary choices and mental health.
Brooke’s treatment philosophy centers on a holistic, person-focused approach aimed at identifying and addressing the root causes of psychiatric concerns. She integrates evidence-based practices with patient preferences and authenticity to manage both acute and chronic mental health issues effectively.
Outside of her professional life, Brooke enjoys exploring new destinations, reading for pleasure, and honing her chess skills. A native Texan, she resides in the Houston area with her partner, Zach, and their cherished pets, Fizzle the cat and Pip the bunny.
